If you’ve been following our journey over the last few months you’ll know we’ve been spending the majority of our time focusing on the food bank sector.
Since the pandemic struck the demand on food banks has continued to increase and with social distancing causing operation disruption to the usual volunteer models, new models have needed to be implemented to keep up with the demand.
What else have we learnt?
All the Food Banks we work with have their own workflows and processes, though there are also many commonalities. One thing that resonates above all is the need to be able easily map and plan delivery routes.
So, this week we’re pleased to announce updates to our application to solve that issue.
- Location display - when a food request is submitted you can now view the delivery location from a map within the Task app
- Delivery mapping - the deliverer/driver now has the option to be automatically routed via their preferred mapping app
